Updated Review – Highly Recommended Timer
I bought this timer because I’m time blind and suspect I have ADHD. The few days I used it, I loved it! It was really helpful to see time represented as a dwindling slice of pie. I also love the clean, retro look of the clock. I treated it with such care, but it unfortunately stopped working after only 4 days! How disappointing… I’m in the process of exchanging it for another. Let’s hope I just had a defective model. I’ll gladly update this review with 5 stars if I can a timer that works and continues to do so.** UPDATE ** I must have received a dud because the second one has been working like a charm. I’m updating my one star review to a five. I was officially diagnosed as ADHD last month. Timers are essential and this is one of many that I keep all over my house.

Good aesthetics and potential, but fell short of expectations
I bought this product to use as a pomodoro timer at my work desk, because I was interested in the concept of using an analog visual timer rather than a phone app. The timer itself does look very pleasing and the lake day blue tone is a nice little contrast from the black color scheme that consumes my desk. I chose this timer over others on Amazon for its minimal font/design and for the way you turn the dial counterclockwise instead of clockwise like most traditional dial timers.However, there are some things about the timer that have turned me away.The timer itself is advertised as having silent operation, but it is not completely silent, as I was still able to hear a very subtle tick while in use. It is pretty dead silent in my room, though, so even a slight room hum would probably be enough to cover up the sound.The construction of the timer is also cheaper than I would have liked. The product is quite lightweight and the dial itself turns very smoothly, but I was seeking a timer that had a little more heft. Its lighter quality did allow me to set it atop my nulaxy phone stand (see images), letting me adjust the viewing angle to my preference.I did enjoy the alarm sound: it is a medium pitch and is not too bothersome but still catches my attention. Sadly, my alarm sound seems to have stopped operating after a few timers. Perhaps something came loose during the delivery — I hear something rattling internally when I pick up the timer and move it around. Possibly just bad luck on my end, or maybe a result of bad packaging.I am returning the item, but I do recommend this timer to anyone seeking a small and portable visual timer that is pleasing to the eyes and functions without being overly intrusive.

Unique timer for adults and kids
This easy to use timer helps me stay focused while working remotely, and helps my toddler see how much longer she has to play, or until she needs to try and use the potty again. It’s small and easy to move from one room to the next.

I was hoping this original Time Timer would last longer than the fake/knockoff timers sold here and on Ali/temu/etc. Unfortunately, this one also failed (discovered this a few months ago, forgot about it’s existence and I just found out the warranty period has expired, let’s call that “adhd Tax” ). It was used occasionally by an adult, not a scratch on the exterior yet, but apparently the inside is the same poor quality as the knockoffs.Another downside is, the Time Timer has only 1 alarm mode which lasts about 2 seconds (so it can be easily missed if you’re in another room or unintentionally ignored when you get distracted or when hyperfocussing on a task, the alarm is just too short and subtle).The knockoffs timers I had before all had multiple alarm durations: 3 or 30 seconds (which could be stopped with a button on top) and I will probably repurchase a Yunbaoit if they still exist.TLDR: there is absolutely no benefit to buying an expensive Time Timer, the quality is just as crappy as the cheaper alternatives and imo it’s missing an essential annoying longer alarm setting so you actually are audible reminded that time’s up.
