This a very nice and well constructed cat seat. The only issue I discovered was installing. Overall the neck/head cushion and cup holder is a big plus. The extra padding is nice for comfort. This a great all in one seat. Easy to buckle and safe.

This car seat is one of the highest end of its kind, so it comes with a lot of bells and whistles, and a price tag to match. We have a 6 month old boy and he’s been occupying this seat. Next to him sits our 2 year old daughter in a new car seat about half the price (Disney Ellaris). So let’s see what the extra money gets you, yes?Unboxing / InstructionsIt comes completely assembled. The user manual is easy to follow, well organized, and the car seat comes with a little compartment to keep the manual accessible.InstallationDifficulty level is kind of high with these all-in-ones, especially if you’re new to car seats. Installation took me about 30 minutes the first time, but I think it would only take about 5 minutes to do it again. It wasn’t really more or less difficult than the other car seat.Placing Baby InsidePutting in our 6 month old was straightforward. The magnetic seat restraint system is very high quality, though I’m not sure of the benefit. The restraint system on the ellaris was obviously cheaper, though I’m not sure I enjoyed it any less. In fact, it was clearly easier to buckle because it had fewer parts to manage.Comfort / AdjustabilityHere is where the Maxi-COSI seat shined compared to the other seat. It had much more attention to detail and options for comfort and padding. From the shoulder straps to the headrest, backrest, etc. I would much prefer to put a smaller infant in this seat as compared to the other seat. All of the fabrics felt soft and plush. It was equally as easy to adjust the basic options in both seats, such as the seating angle and shoulder straps height.SafetyThe safety certifications for both seats are equal. Neither one particular comes off to me as more safe than the other one, though I’m not an expert here.Size / CompatibilityIt’s a big car seat. I doubt it’s possible to fit three of them in a single row in my newer Honda Accord. I do not have a stroller that’s compatible with it, though, so I could not test that in particular.Design / LooksIt’s styling and looks very good. I’m a fan of the grey color, but this “escargot” is OK as well.OverallThis car seat is fantastic. It’s had great functionality, it’s safe, comfortable, and has many bells and whistles. It’s also easy to clean. The only thing that I’m not so sure about is the value proposition. Do you really need to pay double for the extra features? For some, I think you might have that killer feature you really want, and that’s OK. It’s a REALLY good car seat. But if you’re on budget, there’s great car seats for you too.

Maxi Cosi Pria Max+ Car Seat
This is a really nice carseat and has worked very well for us. We have several of the Maxi-Cosi PRIAs in various cars and have been pleased with them overall. They are cushioned and supportive and feel safe for my children. They are fairly easy to install. My favorite feature is definitely the magnetic closure… makes getting in and out that much faster. My only complaints are that sometimes the tightening strap can be a little hard to pull. Not sure if it gets hung up underneath of what the cause is and it is not on all of our seats but an issue with one. The only other thing is that the headrest material comes off for cleaning, which is great, but when my sons yanks it off on the sides it is quite a pain to get locked in place. Hopefully, he will soon stop doing that and it wont be an issue but it is currently a bit of a headache. It is a good size and we were able to keep my daughter rear facing beyond 3 years old. Overall, this is a really good car seat, especially for the price. It has already lasted us quite a long time and we still have several years of use left in it. It seems expensive up front but the multiple stages of use make it worth the price in my opinion.

Good carseat
So far this has been a great car seat for our son. Putting it in my truck was simple with the click buckles. It’s easy to get him in and out of with the chest and leg buckles. The cushions on it feel quite comfortable and soft. Even the seat straps have nice cushions to keep them from digging into your child. The head of it is easy to adjust to your kid’s height. The cupholders are nice as well. One is like a snack cup and the other is a standard cupholder. The snack on is nice tho cuz you can use it for smaller bottles that wouldn’t hold well in the bigger cupholder. The overall size isn’t too bad. Its a little less bulky than a couple other seats we have for my daughters. I used this one in my truck to save a bit of room. Functionally it works as well or better than any other carseat I’ve used. Overall this seems like a quality deal.
