Great all in one nail kit for babies and toddlers alike!
This complete nail kit for babies (and toddlers) is great, and for the current price of $14.99, is quite affordable! It comes with a battery operated nail grinder, 6 different sanding pads of varying courseness, 3 baby sized nail files, small clippers, and nail scissors, all stored in a zip-closed hardcase. You WILL need to purchase 2 AAA batteries for the nail grinder. Batteries are not provided with this set.The nail grinder is super quiet. It works well. If you put too much pressure on baby’s nail, it will slow down. It is best to choose the sanding pad courseness according to your baby’s nails and age, apply light pressure, and let the grinder do the work. You don’t need to press hard! The light vibration doesn’t seem to be painful or irritating. The clippers are small but have adequate thickness that my thick fingers can grasp these well. The little hand-files are just right for an infant. I can’t see using the scissors on an infant’s nails, but as baby gets older, these will likely come in handy. I really appreciate that these tools all fit into the included hardcase to keep everything together in one place!

Great for diaper bags
This is a very easy and convenient kit to keep in the diaper bag, especially when the urges to clip/trim or file my kids nails often comes while out and about. The nail clippers are a nice baby size. They do not collect clipped nails like some setups do, but they are easy to hold and maneuver, and I do like using them. The nail scissors are also a nicer ergonomic feel.There are, however, no instructions and it took me way too long to figure out if and how to get batteries in, and the box doesn’t even say what type of batteries are required. It takes 2 AAA batteries, and you need to slide off the clipper end, and then take off the adjacent back plate. You do NOT need a screwdriver. I shared a photo of how the trimmer looks apart to access the battery spot. Aside from that, I do like it. The trimmer itself works fine, though the angle is a bit odd at first. Once you figure out the best way to hold it, it becomes much easier to use and does a good job filing down baby nails safely.Overall, it’s convenient, and there is extra room in the carrying case to put in a few more essentials like hair ties/clips and bandaids.

The last thing you want to do with a baby is search for instructions. This did not come with any instructions. I had to search the pictures on the order to figure out how to open to put in batteries. It was difficult to see the small pictures. Even turning it off was frustrating as the print is tiny and off was in the center. Having a simple picture instruction manual or print on the box would be helpful.

Nifty trimming kit
Baby Nail Kit,4-in-1 Baby Nail Care Set, came with a hard case, sissors, 3 mini nail files, nail clippers, battery (AAA) powered grinder and 6 grinder pads.Case: The hard case is great quality. It’s double zipper. Lots of extra room. The lanyard on the case is too small to put around my small wrist, but will be great for hanging if I decide to do so.Sissors: these sissors scare me a bit to use on my babys nails. I would rather use the clippers or grinder, I’m just not brave enough. They could be good for a light hair trim. Quality of the scissors is great. I’m able to cut paper with ease. They’re honestly the perfect size to be small sewing sissors…. They will probably end up in my sewing box!Files: the three nail files are mini and adorable. Perfect size for small nails! Just the right about of courseness.Clippers: I find the clippers to be a little bulky – specifically the plastic handle. Someone with bigger hands might find the extra finger space helpful. A few nail clippings ended up inside the clipper plastic, they came out easily when I tipped it over above the trash can.Grinder: the grinder needs 2 AAA batteries. There is a left and right directional grind. Also a small light on the one side with the grinder. If it’s on the higher speed the light gets brighter – lower speed, lower light. Placing a grinder pad into it is easy, however removal, I had to use the edge of the scissors, then it popped right out. The size of the handle is fine. Not too bulky. I was able to hold it on its side and grind a few nails. When I trimmed my own nail, I did feel a little vibration, not too much.Grinder Sound: it’s so quiet!!! I didn’t even know it was on! I thought it was just a light at first until I heard an extremely soft buzz! Since it’s so quiet, I do wish there was a light on the other side to easily tell if the unit was still on when set down. I feel this can easily be missed and go through batteries.Grinder pads: I like that there are different levels of grit. I do wish there was seconds of each. I do not see any replacement pads in the sellers store. I might find something from the hardware store when a replacement is neededOver all, great product. $20 at the time I received it, that seems average for this type of kit.
