The Lip Valve Should Look Like This

Ardo lip valves are DESIGNED to be a bit open in the “resting state”, so pumped milk can actually flow into the bottle. When the user actually activates the lever of the Amaryll, the lip valve correctly closes to create the vacuum. After release of the lever, the lip valve opens a little in order to let the milk drop into the bottle.

So, don’t be alarmed if you see the lips of the valve are slightly open! They’re meant to be! : )
