Soft Weighted Blanket, Great for Babies Through Early Childhood
This weighted blanket is a great size for babies through the toddler years and possibly even into kindergarten. For older kids it works well layered over a sheet and a light blanket. The blanket itself is extremely soft (minky fabric), very practical, and well made, and I really like it. It seemed to be warm and really is a cute blanket, the color is really nice as seen in the Amazon photos.I gave this as a baby gift and the mom was thrilled especially since she already understands the benefits of weighted blankets. I ordered the larger of the two sizes so there is plenty of length as children grow. It should work comfortably through about age five. After that it can still be used more as a core body blanket since it will not fully cover the legs as kids get older.

Great blanket not extra large
Great weighted blanket, I don’t know that I would classify it as extra large though. Good size for a toddler. My 8 year old likes it also but really only works as a lap blanket for her. The weight is decently heavy, five pounds. Fabric is very soft, must be hand washed though if it gets dirty.

Perfectly cozy
Perfectly cozy and surprisingly versatile. Even though it’s marketed for kids, I use this weighted blanket for myself and it works great—the 5lb weight is just enough to feel calming without being overwhelming. The plush minky fabric is incredibly soft, and the size makes it easy to use on the couch or while traveling. It’s comfortable, soothing, and way too nice to limit to kids only.
