Wow! This mat is impressive! It is really heavyweight, so it wouldn’t easily slip around, even if it didn’t have such awesome suction cups on the bottom. The suction cups start sucking without me pushing down on the mat! The entire mat is food grade silicone, which means it is safe to eat from and also to pop in the dishwasher. There is a substantial ridge around all edges to contain any spills. The cup holder is wide enough for a kid-sized glass, a small regular water glass or a bottle. This mat didn’t arrive all rolled up and needing to be flattened. It arrived nice and flat in its own protective packaging, ready to use immediately. Highly recommended whether or not you have a high chair, because it works just fine on a dining table if you place your little one on a booster cushion.
