This is an excellent coffee/tea warmer, which I keep at my desk. It maintains a good temperature, and has auto-cutoff features that keep it safe. It senses the cup, and goes into an auto-standby mode when the cup is lifted. It plugs into a standard outlet. I initially used it with a random mug, since all my mugs had recessed bottoms, not ideal for thermal contact with the warmer. It worked, but I thought the coffee could have been hotter.So I bought a “HOWAY Flat Bottom Mug with Wood Lid” from Amazon to go with it. That has a metal insert on the bottom to improve heat transfer, and with it, the coffee stays even hotter, which I like. Any other flat-bottomed mug would probably work well, but most mugs you find have recessed bottoms.

Versatile!
Simple design, but smart! It knows when your coffee is or isn’t there and will shut off on its own in a given amount of time. (I believe 5 minutes) It keeps my coffee the perfect temperature which is nice on those days that I drink super slow. I will say it works best with a wide bottom mug but it is still compatible with narrow mugs.I haven’t tried it yet but I bet you could also use it as a candle warmer, or to melt chocolate to dip strawberries in. Sounds pretty versatile to me!Over all definitely worth what I paid and I would buy it again! Would also make a great gift!

Hot and fast
I really do like the simplicity of this warmer. It keeps my frinks very warm, I love it. I would have given 5 stars but with no turn on/off button it comes on if you push on the one botton controlling everything. I worry cats could step on it and turn it in and get burned. So there for four stars.

My old Oracer finally died and since it worked for years looked for the same to replace.This heats great on both low and high settings and both settings make the tea hot not warm, which I love. I also like the new feature that it times out if you remove your mug for more than 5 minutes. Generally, I turn off mine, but just in case it is forgotten that is a great safety feature.It fits in so many places and doesn’t take up a lot of room on my desk while giving me a great warm drink in the winter.

Works as advertised, but touch controls are overly tricky and unpredictable.
Works as a warmer just fine, but the design choice of the touch-sensitive control rather than a traditional button or switch is a bit maddening. You have to hold it for a certain amount of time to make it stay on, and sometimes that switches between the heat settings and other times it’s set to temporary setting instead of stay-on… and then it’s hard to see what’s happening with the indicator light because it’s the same place your finger needs to hold to change the settings. All in all… definitely one of those “why do people think this is better than just the simple on/off switches we had decades ago?” kind of deals. My own fault for not carefully getting one without a touch-operation, but I also wouldn’t have guessed it would be this challenging.

Heel goed zelfst, ben er heel tevreden mee. Wel rekening houden dat de onderkant goed heet kan worden dus….. op een speciaal hittebestendig onderlegger geplaatst, zodat er wat luchtcirculatie aan de onderkant aanwezig is.

Wärmt erstaunlich gut!Ich hatte bedenken, da die meisten meiner Tassen einen Rand unten haben (kein flacher Boden, sprich keine komplette Auflagefläche) jedoch muss ich sagen die Platte heißt richtig gut. Frisch gebrühter Kaffee hält er auf der “leichten” (blauen) Stufe heiß, schon etwas abgekühlter Kaffee wird auf der starken Stufe (rot) direkt wieder heiß gemacht. Evtl. sogar etwas zu heiß, aber da muss man einfach die passende Vorgehensweise mit den Einstellungen für sich finden.Anfangs “riecht” die Platte etwas, das geht jedoch schon nach den ersten paar Stunden des ersten Gebrauchs weg.Zur Langlebigkeit kann ich noch nichts sagen.Somit nach erster Verwendung völlig zufrieden.
