Why can’t I use Oma Sense while my baby is in a swing or car seat?
Oma Sense detects your baby’s abdominal movements. Additional movement from a swing, car seat or similar setting will affect the device’s ability to properly detect if your baby’s abdominal movements have stopped.
Why is Oma Sense not recommended for babies over 6 months old?
Around 6 months, when babies start rolling or playing with the monitor, it’s best to stop using Oma Sense. When they sleep on their tummy, it may not detect abdominal movement well, leading to false alerts.
Do I need to charge my Oma Sense Battery?
No! Oma Sense includes a Panasonic 3V CR2450 coin cell battery that will last up to 30 days based on normal usage. Oma Sense let’s you know with a solid red light when the battery needs to be replaced.
Can I connect Oma Sense to my phone or Levana Video Baby Monitor?
Oma Sense, a stand-alone abdominal movement monitor, operates without Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, eliminating the need for smartphone or separate Video Baby Monitor connection. For enhanced alert audibility, pair it with a Video Baby Monitor.
ULTIMATE PEACE OF MIND: Featuring patented Wakeup Technology to continually monitor abdominal movement and alert parents if no abdominal movement is detected, the Oma Sense smart baby monitor is a wearable baby monitor for infants that offers priceless peace of mind. Because we know being a parent can be hard enough.
GENTLY STIMULATES BABY: If the baby sleep monitor detects no abdominal movement for 15 seconds, a randomized series of vibrations initiates to gently rouse your little one and stimulate normal abdominal movement to resume. Unlike other sleep monitor devices, Oma Sense has no skin contact.
AUDIBLY ALERTS CAREGIVERS: If abdominal movement is not re-established 5 seconds after the initial alert, the baby abdominal movement monitor will initiate an audible emergency alarm to alert parents and caregivers so that they can act and respond quickly.
DESIGNED IN CANADA: Designed in Canada and made with medical grade materials, the Levana Oma Sense baby monitor slips comfortably over baby’s diaper, pants or buttoned-up onesie requiring zero skin contact. With zero WiFi, radio or Bluetooth frequencies, this is a baby newborn essential for infants between 0-6 months old.
EVERYONE RESTS EASY: A flashing blue light on the baby safety monitor unit reassures that everything is as it should be. Offering peaceful rest for baby AND parents, this baby alert monitor relieves the urge to periodically check on little ones abdominal movements through the night.

Pretty Great!
So far this little device is pretty great. I love that it is simple and lofi. I did not like the ones with apps and Bluetooth because they gave false alarms. This one has a battery and just works as it should. The only criticism I would have is the alarm is not as loud as other baby sleep monitors. Like the Snuzi is LOUD but it also gives false alarms. So my actual rating would probably be 4.5x If you have a baby monitor on though you would totally hear this one if it goes off. Taps the baby too. It’s definitely given us a lot of piece of mind. We use it for naps and bedtime! Oh one piece of advice I saw from another reviewer that was super helpful – cut an elastic waste band from another piece of baby pants for your kid and use it as a strap. Because not every outfit has buttons or pants.

First time mom recommended
If your thinking about it buy it gives you piece of mind! Writing review one year later as a first time mom i was scared of anything happening to my son. I am extremely happy i bought one if you place correctly. Monitor works perfectly fine. Even now thag my son is one year i have used it on days hes been sick!

Peace of Mind
When my son was 3 weeks old i fell asleep after nursing and my son was laying on my arm – what I didn’t know was that my husband had rolled over to my side of the bed and was partially laying on him. The Oma alerted me and woke me up. We have the Owlet sock too but Im grateful for the simplicity of this device and that it does not need WiFi etc There have been some false alarms since then but it happens infrequently & I’d rather be woken up than miss a real one. We use all in ones with a zipper so I purchased some elastic material used to make clothes and cut it to size and held in place with a safety pin (basically made my own waistband).

Customer service for levana is terrible
This monitor is great but levana oma sense customer service is terrible. My first monitor broke. I had a warranty on it and they refused to do anything about it. The durability is fragile but does what it’s supposed!

Just buy it. It’s worth your baby’s life.
I noticed our infant would stop breathing at night so we ordered this when she was a month old.It works. It’ll give random vibrations and little noises if it doesn’t detect tummy breathing movement (clip it onto the front of their diaper), and if it still registers nothing 15 seconds after that it’ll vibrate more and beep louder to alert the parents. It’s gone off multiple times since we bought it, a few times when she was even sleeping on our chest at night. A few times it’s gotten her to breathe on her own, a few times it’s alerted the second time and we’ve had to get her to breathe. It definitely gives you peace of mind if your newborn has periodic breathing. We’ve used it for two weeks at night with no battery issues.Buy it.

Don’t waste your money
SOOOOO many false alarms. It was great for about a month but now gives me more anxiety than I had before. I’m jumping out of bed multiple times a night freaking out just to find my baby peacefully sleeping and breathing just fine. I would rather it be a false alarm than no alarm at all. But definitely do not bother wasting your money on this one.

Monitor
We love our monitor. It gives us peace of mind when sleeping and it doesn’t bother our LO. It is a nice alternative to the owlet sock. The monitor is great quality and we haven’t had any false alarms. We’ve been using it for 2 months and the battery is still going strong. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to get one for their little one. It’s a great value for your money. *note* our little one wears zipper footie pajamas, we just clip this to the side of her sleep sack. This works well for us as we aren’t comfortable clipping it to her diaper.

Not a fan.
I’ve had both this and the Snuza breathing monitor, which I used for 2 older kids, and have to say I really prefer the Snuza.Pros of Levana Oma+:- Clips on well and doesn’t move- Loud alarm and flashing lightCons of Levana Oma+:- False alarms! I’ve twice had it go off when I’m right there and can clearly see my baby breathing. As far as I know the monitor was on correctly, touching just above belly button and the diaper was on tight enough. Regardless of the circumstance false alarms cause serious undue anxiety.- The light that indicates that it’s working flashes every 30 seconds, which I find way too long. When I am doing a quick check on my baby I don’t want to have to stand there and wait and wait to maybe see a little flash that you miss, God forbid you should blink or you can’t see it because it’s covered by a zipper or elastic. This is REALLY annoying to me. The Snuza blinks with each breath, which is far more useful.- Since the indicator light is so infrequent, I’ve tried to just turn the thing off and turn it on again. (Sometimes I’ve forgotten to turn it on in the first place, so I like to double check.) The problem is the on and off buttons are pretty hard to push, and I often end up causing baby to stir. No reason for the buttons to be so hard to push.- Once your baby starts to roll and sleep on their side a little, it’s game over for this gadget. It can’t detect movement at all in this position, where the Snuza has a silicone end that goes right against baby’s skin and can still work on their side. This product isn’t terrible, but I wouldn’t recommend it or buy it again.

Gave us such piece of mind. Worked great. Love the low emf.

I bought this because I wanted to make sure my baby is physically breathing. I didn’t want a device that had to go to my phone and measure oxygen level before alerting me something is wrong. It really made me less anxious at night and while my baby napped. I put this on top of my baby’s woolino and it works fine. Yes there’s a few false alarms but I’d rather have that than a non breathing baby. My LO rolls over now, so when the alarm goes off I know she rolled and put it on the side or her back, then I know she’s breathing while tummy sleeping (we room share). One reviewer mentioned using a stretchy band to keep it on the tummy so even if baby rolls over, it’ll still work. Just place it slight off to the side.Btw amazing battery life. 6 months in and the battery is still good!

I have had this one as well as the Snuza and comparing the two, this one is just awful. It has so many false alarms no matter how you position it. I have to wake my baby constantly throughout the night to move the monitor into place so it doesn’t keep going off randomly. It’s also a lot bulkier than the snuza and the buttons are hard to push. Hate this thing and will be going back to using the snuza
