Great value for the money! It is so educational and uses a pencil which so many children are lacking in now! The songs are engaging and it has various language options. The touch screen is easy to navigate. The handle makes it easy to carry for my grandson who is in preschool. Such a cute and wonderful toy! I am so glad I got this for him!

My boys love this. It is educational and has made them a lot more interested in reading and writing. Because it’s fun and there’s game and everything. It’s been dropped a few times and held up nicely. My only complaint that the letters have to be written in specifically directions that seem a bit unnatural when writing normally. Which leads to my boys getting frustrated that it isn’t working.

Great for my 2.5 year old!
My 2.5 year old loves Mr. Pencil! It’s helped him immensely with his ABC’s and phonetics. I love that he can sit there for an hour and loves bringing it in the car on longer trips. Also, Mr. Pencil can survive being thrown as it has been thrown multiple times. The screen brightness isn’t too bright and reminds me of a kindle. I like this reminds me of a pixelated 90s toy and that it’s not overstimulating. It comes with two volumes.

I bought this for a child who was starting to show interest in letters and drawing, and it’s actually been a really good mix of educational and entertaining. The activities are simple enough for younger kids to follow, but still interactive enough to keep them interested for longer than expected. My child especially liked tracing letters and hearing the sounds and words read back.The Mr Pencil character makes the whole thing feel more playful instead of like “learning time,” which helped a lot. It’s definitely aimed at early writing and reading skills rather than advanced learning, but for preschool and younger primary-aged kids it works really well. The pink colour was also a hit straight away.
