Simple toy that actually teaches real skills (6 months and up)
We started using this with our 6-month-old during tummy time and sitting practice, and it’s been one of those toys that grows with him.Right now, he mostly enjoys grabbing the blocks, banging them together, and trying to get them into his mouth. The pieces are big enough to be safe but small enough for him to practice his grip and hand coordination. What I didn’t expect is how useful the bucket itself is. He loves taking the shapes out, watching me put them back in, and listening to the sound they make when they drop inside. It’s a great cause-and-effect toy at this age, even before he can actually sort the shapes.I like that this isn’t overstimulating — no lights, no loud sounds — just bright colors and simple shapes that let him focus. I can see this becoming even more useful as he gets older and starts learning how to match the shapes to the holes.Good for:• Tummy time and sitting play• Practicing grip and hand coordination• Learning cause and effect• Early shape and color recognition• A toy that grows with baby into toddler stageNot ideal for:If you’re looking for something flashy with music and lights. This is more of a classic developmental toy. This feels like one of those timeless baby toys that every house with a baby should have.

Great Value, Great Toy
Of all the toys we have purchased this $10 bucket of blocks has gotten the most use. This is an incredibly versatile, well made, and enticing toy.We first got this for our 5 month old. He loved knocking over little stacks of blocks and dumping the bucket out. We did have to be careful of him falling on the blocks at this age, but if your baby is supported by you while sitting this is an appropriate toy for that age. I would not have them supported by a nursing pillow or sitting on their own and playing with these. As time has passed we have done big stacks of blocks, sang songs about shapes and colors with the blocks, and he has even started trying to use the shape sorter. We have found a few exciting new ways to use the blocks. The blocks float in the kid pool, and they have little holes in them, so baby likes to watch the water stream down from them too. We have also used a muffin tin and sorted blocks in the cups both dry and filled with water which has been a fun activity we have done several times. After 4.5 months of hard use the blocks are still in great shape. I don’t think you can get a more versatile toy for $10. If I did it all over again these would 100% be on the list.

Perfect Size, Durable, and Fun for Toddlers
This is fantastic. Kiddo loves to play with it. The size of each block is perfect for little hands, and the set really helps improve motor skills and hand‑eye coordination. The blocks are durable and hold up well to toddler play, with great stackability that keeps my kid entertained for a long time. Excellent entertainment value and very budget‑friendly too. Highly recommend for early learning and play!

Portable Toy Block Kit
I bought this item for my six month old because she enjoys playing with blocks. It has quickly become one of her favorite toys. I found this item easily portable because it is lightweight and has a handle. The soft, neutral color scheme is very cute without being overly bright. There are cute animals like a fawn and fox on the front of the rectangular box that make it visually appealing. I like how the back side has options for sensory stimulation.I like that there are five different shapes of blocks where my child can work on her gross motor skills by placing the correct shape into each slot. This aspect promotes early learning with shape and color names as well. The only reason I gave a four star review instead of five is because noticed that the lid is easily removed and there is not an option to secure it during transport or to keep it secure while my baby is placing the correct block in each slot.

Little one likes
Great for any infant around 6m+ helps with fine motor skills like grasping. Quality and durability are great. My daughter has had for several months and she throws these pieces everywhere. Lid is a little loose and wish it would lock down instead of just sitting on top. No assembly required. Not sure the toys actually stack like seen in the picture as they are 5 different shapes and flat edges. Im sure you could if you wanted just wouldn’t be sturdy.

Great Learning Tool and Fun for Toddlers.
Bought this months ago but still keeps my 15 month old grandson interested and occupied. He plays with it all the time. Loves sorting the pieces and is so pleased with himself when he puts the correct shape in the correct hole. Nothing to break, no batteries needed. Just simple old fashioned fun that manages to teach about shapes.

blocks are smaller than it looks on the picture – would say little bit small for 1 yr olds

The Fisher-Price Baby’s First Blocks set is a great toy for little ones learning to explore and problem-solve. The blocks are the perfect size for small hands, and the bright colors and different shapes keep babies interested during playtime.I love that it helps with early learning skills like hand-eye coordination and shape recognition. The bucket with the shape-sorting lid makes it fun for babies to try matching the shapes, and it also doubles as a convenient storage container when playtime is over. The pieces are durable, lightweight, and easy to clean, which is always a plus with baby toys. Overall, it’s a simple, classic toy that provides both fun and developmental play. I would definitely recommend it for babies starting around 6 months and up.
