I bought this because I heard people rave about them. But honestly it has just sat in the closet until today. I had both sets of crib sheets either in the wash or out on the line and needed to lay the little miss down for a nap I needed something on the mattress. Then I remembered the sheet saver. I quickly tied it to the front and back of the crib and laid my daughter perpendicular, making sure her bottom was above the sheet saver. Duh! That is exactly what this is for! I definitely plan to use this more regularly – like, all the time. Now, I haven’t tested the waterproofness, but I fully expect it to work, as I have the same brand as mattress protectors. And I can now chime in my actual opinion that this is an excellent product to have on hand. It saves from having to wash the sheet and the mattress cover and it’s so much smaller. Wish I’d thought to use it earlier! And the fact that it’s organic cotton makes me feel better about it being directly against her skin.

Needs Longer Tie Strings
We use two of these side-by-side in the crib and that covers the entire middle area, where our boy sleeps most of the time. We have had to remove them for washing when we’ve had dirty diaper blowouts or he’s peed through a cloth diaper. They are extremely useful in protecting the mattress and cover, so we love them. Unfortunately, we find that the strings on them are too short, so it makes tying them extremely challenging, especially for the side of the crib that is up against the wall. My wife, who is tall for a woman, can’t tie the strings on the far side of the crib that is against the wall and has to wait for me to get home to tie it. Even then, when I tie it, it is not even close to being easy. If you have a crib that is not up against a wall or is easily moved, then the struggle to tie it is not nearly as bad, though, the strings are still too short. Unfortunately, after washing and hang drying, we experienced significant shrinkage, so now the strings are even shorter. It would be awesome if they could sell this cover pre-shrunk.

The sheet saver has been a great product for us. We didn’t invest in a ton of crib bedding, so I wanted to make sure that every piece we purchased counted. This product looks beautiful and feels nice. It ties tightly to the crib rails and doesn’t come loose when double knotted, so there are no concerns about baby getting caught in loose bedding. It keeps the sheets dry even now that she’s almost 2 if her diaper gets too wet in her sleep. I am very happy with it and it is worth the investment.

Good for bassinet
This is a very nice sheet saver, the fabric is extremely soft and absorbent. Like others have written, it is small(ish) and therefore does not cover the entire sheet. However, I like the idea of using 2 and will do this as soon as my baby transitions to the crib. For now, I have found it is the perfect size for use in the Arms Reach Co-sleeper (I don’t use the ties, just fold them under). I imagine it would work well in any bassinet.
