Easy, less mess than regular paints. Some colors work better than others. Had to remind the toddler to keep the brush wet or else they don’t work so well. The paper is thick to prevent the water/paint bleeding through to the next page.

As an aunt, this Paint with Water Book made a great gift for my niece and nephews that both they and my sister-in-law can enjoy: the kids, because painting is fun, and my SIL, because cleaning up takes seconds. The book comes with two paintbrushes has pages of outlined cartoons that become colorful pictures thanks to the hidden paint that gets activated with just water. The activity is perfect for the kids, who are 2, 6, and 10 (it’s a good chance for the oldest to help out the youngest) and I know how much SIL appreciates a quick clean up!
