    V ery versatile.
I really thought this was going to be an overrated instagram influencer item but it’s very versatile.Great nursing pillow. Great support for your arm when bottle feeding. Great way to prop up baby for tummy time. I also throw a towel over it after a bath and use it to rest baby on their tummy so I can get lotion on their back and bottom and legs, etc. Better than trying to prop up a damp slippery naked baby and Bette than putting a newborn face down screaming into the changing table. All around very versatile.

Great for both bottle and breastfeeding
Works great for me for either bottle or breastfeeding. Not too soft or too firm. Good quality.

    Worth it!
Purchased this for my second child as I had one for my first but I gifted it to a friend. It’s very helpful for breast feeding but also my second was a nicu baby and it helped provide support for bottle feeds. The material is soft, and the pattern is so cute! We love dinosaurs in this house. I love that I can remove the cover and wash it as needed. My baby is now 8 months old and we use it for when he is sitting up as a back pillow support in case he decides to lean back a little too hard.

    No Storage Bag
I was surprised upon receipt that it didn’t come in the clear, plastic zipper tote that every other boppy I’ve ever seen has come in. It came in a box that had “Boppy” printed inside the box. If it hadn’t been for the logo inside the box I would’ve assumed it was a used Boppy pillow. Very odd to me but the new mom didn’t seem put off by it. The pattern on the cover was nice & matched the photos’ color. It was soft & seemed to be the same quality as my old boppy from having my own newborns. The description matched the item perfectly. Boppy is one of my favorite baby shower gifts. I would call it an essential for any new moms out there! Great support & comfort for mom & baby!

    Bad Design
I used the original boppy with my first son 14 years ago, but the curve of it was an annoyance that let him slip down, so I looked for another option this time around. I had such high hopes for this one with the more squared shaped. But alas, I was left in the same boat because this thing still has a rounded off inside curve that lefts my baby slip down. Plus, the straighter shape isn’t a convenience that lets my husband use it for bottle feeding too, but it does keep it from holding on to me and not slipping away from my body. Now I have a $50 Boppy nursing pillow tucked in the nursery closet and use a small pillow instead.

Okay, but not great for breastfeeding.
I have tried several breastfeeding pillows, including the original Boppy (on the left in the picture). I heard so many good things about it that I was excited to try it for breastfeeding my first baby. I found that it was too round for baby to comfortably and securely lay on it while latched, he kept rolling towards me which put him in an awkward position relative to my breast. And the small opening made for a snug fit around my midsection, but it worked. So when they came out with the new shape, I was stoked to try it! From the description, it was supposed to have a larger, firmer surface area for better positioning and a wider, boxier opening to fit around the midsection more comfortably. I was surprised when I first opened it as it was smaller than I expected (new version on right in picture), in fact, overall it’s smaller than the original version. It is much firmer than the original, which I can’t decide if that’s a positive or negative or just different. My biggest disappointment in the new design, however, is that while the shape does appear more boxy, the pillow itself is still super round which leads to the same issue with baby rolling into me and putting him at an awkward angle when latching. And because they made the sides narrower, my arms/elbows don’t have a comfortable place to rest while baby is latched. I find that my elbows just kind of dangle off the edges so I have to cross my arms over/in front of baby if I don’t want to hold my elbows up. In searching for the best nursing pillows, I’ve also tried the My Brest Friend nursing pillow, which you can also find on Amazon. It’s a tad more expensive, but it has a wide flat base that prevents baby from rolling into your body when feeding that I’ve found to work better than the Boppy. I know a lot of people really like the Boppy so I recommend still trying it out if you think it will work for you. If you don’t like it or find that it’s only “okay” but not great, I recommend giving the My Brest Friend a try and seeing if its design works better for you. With that said, I have found other uses for the Boppy that has convinced me to still keep and use it. It’s great if you are just holding the baby, it provides a place for your arms to rest while the baby is in your arms. So you kind of stack the Boppy on your lap, your arms on the Boppy, and then the baby in your arms. Or you can let the baby lay on the Boppy up against your body and just support with arms as needed. I also really like using the Boppy for tummy time. You can prop baby up with arms/elbows resting on the Boppy rather than putting baby flat on the floor. It’s made tummy time a lot less stressful because baby enjoys it way more than being flat (we will transition to flat on the floor as baby gets older and starts to develop just a bit more head control and neck strength). I have decided though that I prefer the original Boppy for both of these things. The new version’s sides are too narrow for comfortable arm position while holding the baby and it’s too tall and stiff for comfortable tummy time.

It works but miss the original boppy.
It is ok it fits my babay and my breast but I do like the original boppy more because the sides are short so having extra support is needed on the side so using a folded pillow when in bed or on couch with boppy. You don’t need the extra support if in a standerd rocking chair. The stuffing is hard i had to dry it with tennis balls to help soften it up and break it down and by sitting and laying on it a few months before I had my baby. It is easy to use. And it is pretty. I jave had to go through 4 boppys to find one big enough for me to put a baby on and my breat so this is good for big busted nursing mama’s.
