I LOVE this chair! I’m 220 lb at the moment and I’m 5’9. I’ve had this chair for a few days. Since I have a velcro baby, I sit here sometimes for hours while my baby sleeps. It is very comfy and quiet. I can easily get my sleeping baby up without the chair making a sound. I do wish the back was slightly longer for my head to rest easier, but wouldn’t deter me from buying this again. Still long enough to rest my head well enough. When you lean back and kick the foot of the chair out, it is long enough and sturdy for me. The side pockets are a bonus too! It was also super easy to put together. Only two pieces!

I’m currently sitting in this for the first time. I haven’t seen it in the light. It magically appeared bedside, somehow got put together and brought up a flight of stairs and ended up here. My 3 week old woke up for a feeding so I figured I’d try it out in the dark, not knowing if it would crumble beneath me.This looks great with a small nightlight shining onto it in a dark room. Can’t wait to see it during the day.This feels like a warm hug. I’m wearing shorts and I wasn’t sure if this corduroy texture would feel aggressive with bare legs pressed against it. It doesn’t. My baby and I fit well and I imagine I’ll get a at least 4 good years of comfortable sitting. Will test with my 6yo tomorrow!The chair is quiet. No squeaking or sounds when sitting or getting up.CONS…Potential downfalls but not worthy of a star removal from me:I’m 5’3. When my back and bottom are all the way against the back of the seat, my feet reach the very end of the recliner. Idk if a tall person would like that? I also have no recent recliner recollection to compare it to so maybe that’s normal.The recline is “springy” as my husband put it. Pops out like you’d expect, keep your legs pressed against it for some counter pressure to give it less oomph when it pops.Pushing it back in. This part saddens me. It requires a good bit of work for me rn. I had a c section less than 4 weeks ago. I basically have to inch myself up in the seat to be able to close this with my legs bc it takes so much strength. On a normal day and fully recovered it might Be a different story (I think it’s would be the same but it wouldn’t hurt tbh). And it’s kind of loud when it does click shut. So if you have a sleeping baby, you’ll want to make sure they are out good before doing it.TLDR; for a random brand on Amazon, st this price, this looks and feels great. A wonderful addition to a nursery, just make sure your baby is out cold before closing it.

Reclining position not comfortable
How do you get this chair into the “reading position”? The only way mine reclines is all the way back if the feet are up to a point where it’s not even comfortable to recline in.
