Purchased to keep two Great Pyrenees from wandering into the room. Easy to install; the gate was screwed into wood door jamb (door opening 36″) using my own screws; the tape on the latch brackets helpful to hold in place while attaching to jamb. Gray color was a good match for our trim/walls. This is not for high-traffic areas, as it usually requires two hands to latch, but one hand can open it. Rather a strong spring and care must be used to ensure the gate retracts evenly. Destructive/poorly trained dogs will destroy the material rather quickly, but that isn’t a problem with our Pyrs. Overall pleased, but will purchase something else for kitchen entry which has more traffic (number of times enter/exit each day).

Good for 2 years. Then not.
Worked very well for 2 years and now it stopped retracting. I wish it lasted longer but nothing lasts anymore. I might try a different brand next time to see if there’s anything more durable.

Open concept kitchens are a terrible idea when you have kids. When you combine kids with a stay-at-home wife who loves to cook and bake, it’s extra horrible. The problem with an open kitchen like that is that most baby gate solutions require solid surfaces with a lot of stability to attach the gate on two ends. This one needed more like 1.2 solid surfaces, which worked great for us.The latch is easy to use (but too stiff and complicated for a toddler to figure out) and holds up to toddler tantrums due to it being flexible enough to be hit without breaking.

This gate is high quality and easy to install, completed by myself within 15 minutes. The only downfall is that the tension it causes on the gate when secured is extremely difficult for your drywall to hold the screws in place – even with anchors in. So if you can get a little bit creative and sort that out, then I would say – I highly recommend this gate. Zero chance of puppies or babies getting through. (Currently have a 5lb puppy who cannot fit underneath it or beside it)

Very versatile add on for our deck outside. Thr black mesh design tied in with our deck. We like that we can easily retract them when not in use. Really nice when we have the dogs outside and want them to stay on or off the deck. Can’t go wrong.
