Amazing for our transition from swaddle. Light structure helped with startle reflex
We love this. We set our thermostat to 66° and use this as well as a onesie and footie PJs and baby is warm enough. This worked perfectly as a transition from a swaddle. It’s structured enough but allows for movement so she can safely roll. Super easy to put on, high quality zipper from the top and the bottom for easy changes. I love the quilted texture, though the fabric does get some pilling after washing.I ordered the size larger hoping that I would be able to use it for longer but ended up having to purchase the smaller size. She’s a smaller baby and was SWIMMING in it. This was on me — the size chart seemed accurate and I ignored it in the hopes I could make it work, but no. Follow the size chart.

Perfect transition from arms by sides swaddling
Our 4 month old has always slept best when swaddled, arms by her sides. She’s not rolling yet, but she was breaking out of her swaddle every night, multiple times a night, so we were reluctantly forced to move onto something else. We attempted some other “transitional” swaddle and had no luck. I then went into trying this one with little faith, but was shocked and SO HAPPY when our baby only woke once in the night (due to hunger – totally normal) on night 1 of wearing this swaddle. It suppresses her startle reflex and allows her to access her hands so she can soothe herself if she wakes. She no longer wakes in frustration! This swaddle is great quality – it’s thicker than her previous swaddles so we only have her in her diaper in this swaddle. Changing her is easy due to the double zipper. Nursing her is easy because the swaddle is malleable and comfortable like a blanket. I’ve washed and dried it, and it’s maintained its sizing and quality. I also love that she can sleep with her arms up, out, or down with full comfort. 10/10 recommend.

The best transitional sleep sack!
I love all Halo products. They just work for our little guy! He started with the Halo swaddle- the Velcro one and I swear it was the ONLY swaddle that worked for him – finally started giving us 6 hour stretches. Once he started rolling, I took his arms out of that swaddle but unfortunately he’s long and grew out of it! I was super bummed and nervous he’d never sleep in anything else but enter this incredible transitional sleep sack!!! He sleeps GREAT in it. It’s so soft and keeps him cozy but not too hot in a 72-74 degree room. Thinking about buying another!

I use this for my 2-month-old son and absolutely love it! It’s the perfect transition from swaddling — keeps him cozy and secure without restricting his little arms. The material is soft, breathable, and not too heavy, so I don’t have to worry about him overheating. I also love the design with the zipper, which makes middle-of-the-night diaper changes so much easier. My baby sleeps so much more comfortably in this sleepsack, and it gives me peace of mind knowing he’s safe. Definitely a must-have for parents with newborns and infants!

Best new baby item I tried for baby #3
We tried to just do the plain wearable blanket for my baby who is close to rolling and none of us were getting any sleep. This is our 3rd baby so I was reluctant to buy something new, but has been so great for him. He’s at the top of the growth chart so I’m buying the medium now as well. Love that it’s not weighted like other sleep sacks. He can still move his arms freely but something about the stitching provides enough resistance so the Moro reflex is less bothersome. The quilted material is really soft and cozy. It zips snug around his chest so that it mimics the swaddle feeling. He loves it!

Worked to transition baby out of swaddle!
This has been super helpful for getting baby to transition and she’s sleeping from 7:30 pm to 7:30 am! Our pediatrician wanted our baby out of her swaddle at 3 months because of flat head and we were nervous about her arms being out. First night we tried it, she was waking herself up with the startle reflex so we went back to her old swaddle and instead, decided to try this with her naps. We did a week of naps – slowly would use this for each nap instead of her old swaddle and start with one nap in it and then increase each day. Finally on Friday she did all her naps in it, and we said let’s try night time again and wouldn’t you know, she slept the whole night and didn’t even wake us to eat (I would give her one extra feed during the day so that helped).Don’t expect this to be like a Merlin – it’s not and our pediatrician prefers that because she told us the Merlin can cause flat head since baby isn’t mobile in it. I would recommend trying some sleep training while transitioning to this, and by that I mean doing a bedtime routine, teaching baby to self soothe with a paci and then getting them to use their hand to suck on in case they wake themselves. We would rock baby a little bit before putting her down but would make sure she was still awake before laying her down and I think that helped with overall getting her to sleep through the night. Do note: this transition sleep sack is warm but it’s been cold this winter so it’s been great for cooler weather.
