Cutest little battery drainer ever ♥️
My 6 month old son is OBSESSED with this nightlight. It helps us fall asleep and soothes him back to sleep should he wake up at night, or too early in the morning. So many options for sounds, lights and it’s very soft and light, so perfect for babies.Only downside, and a pretty big one, per my husband:It takes 2 AA batteries, which last maybe a week, so be prepared and have that screwdriver nearby. I suggest rechargeables.

    Love this!
We have a 2 1/2 year old and received the blue hippo as a gift before he was born. He loves this. It is how he’s fallen asleep almost every nap and night since he was born. I saw reviews that says the battery didn’t last long, but ours lasts at least a month using it twice a day on the 45 minute setting. The options for stories and songs are nice too. There is one option where it is all music which is what we use to fall asleep. I love that this turns on with noise as well. When there are late night wake ups, it helps soothe him. We purchased the polar bear for our new child and it works just as well. I was surprised at how soft the head, tail and legs were compared to the hippo we already had. This is a great product that I see us using for years to come!

    My Son LOVES This Bear
We got one of these bears around 2 years ago for my son’s first Christmas (he was only 3 months old) but we didn’t end up using it until around 8 months ago because it got put somewhere and we lost track of it. It QUICKLY became my sons favorite thing at bedtime. He tends to go to sleep quicker with it and when he fusses it kicks on and helps sooth him back to sleep. Which is great because he can be a light sleeper so this helps him. We bought a 2nd one because about a week or so ago the original bear didn’t seem to want to turn on according to my 17yr old. She supposedly tried changing the batteries but according to her it still wouldn’t work. Guess I should have checked it myself before I ordered because I put new batteries in it and it worked fine. That’s what I get for blindly accepting what my teenager told me lol.I docked one star on this for two reasons. First is that, like many others have said, this thing goes through a LOT of batteries. Especially if you have a child like mine who likes it CONSTANTLY playing, even during the day. And two, you may notice a DISTINCT color difference between the new and the old when it comes to the main body. The blue/purple one is actually the old one (you can see the slight yellow discoloration on the feet) while the new literal fresh out of the box one looks greyish and faded. Even my 10 year old commented on the difference in color. Now, this doesn’t matter to my 2 year old of course and the new bear works perfectly fine for the short time I had turned it on. But it makes regifting this a little questionable because it looks…..old. I’m not sure if Vtech changed the coloring of the polar bear in the last few years but there is definitely a difference when you see them side by side. Either way, this bear is great and I do recommend it.

Could be much better than it is
I just got this product yesterday, but based on first impressions I am disappointed. The IDEA of it is really cool – it plays soothing sounds and lights when your baby cries! However the sounds it plays are not exactly what I was hoping for. I don’t like that the “music” setting has a woman singing…would be better if it was just instrumental. Some of the songs are too busy or have too much motion for sleep time. And the nature sounds…the cricket sound literally sounds like an alarm clock…it makes me cringe hoping it doesnt wake the baby up.The functionality doesn’t make sense to me, either. Every time you turn it on, it plays for a minimum of 15 minutes, and there doesnt seem to be a way to stop it other than just waiting until it is done, and then it waits for baby to cry and reactivate. I would prefer to turn it on and have it be in “standby” mode and activate with a cry or when a button is pushed. People on here are saying it eats through batteries, and I can see why. Also for some reason when the power is turned on, it activates every time I pick it up. That seems to be a glitch for sure.If my daughter likes it we will keep using it but it could be so much better than it is!Update: upped to 3 stars because it really does help my daughter fall back asleep when she wakes up during the night, and I’ve been using it every night and still haven’t had to replace the batteries after 5-6 weeks. I still think it could be a lot better though.

Es un juguete caro y no es lo que esperábamos, tiene cuentos muy cortos y solo un idioma.
