Coogam Montessori Color Shape Sorting Box Game
This Montessori-inspired toy is ideal for preschool-aged children, offering a stimulating learning experience that supports early cognitive growth while fostering creativity and curiosity. Whether used at home or in a classroom setting, it makes learning an enjoyable adventure for young learners. I bought that as a graduation gift for someone going into the field of Montessori Teaching. It made the perfect gift and this toy is among her favorite that her children have used in the classroom. I would highly recommend.

Great learning toy!
Perfect size! My little one has played with this since she was about 1.5 years old. Continues to grow well with her due to the different ways to play. Very durable with no issues.

Best education toy
My grandson and my great niece played with it for hours on Christmas Eve. They are both three years old and they absolutely loved it.

My 2-year-old is currently learning to categorize items by shape. She’s able to use a typical shape sorter, but has only recently started identifying and matching items based on more specific characteristics. This color and shape sorter has been both a brilliant and slightly challenging addition to her learning routine. What makes this product stand out is its dual-purpose design—one side allows sorting by shape, and the other by color. While it’s recommended for ages 3 and up, the foundations of sorting by likeness often begin well before that. For my child, it’s still hit or miss, but her recognition skills are gradually improving. Although the activity is a bit advanced for her, the bright, primary colors hold her attention long enough during each session to make it worthwhile. The box itself is clearly labeled and well organized. There are five drawers, each assigned a specific shape: circle, square, triangle, star, and pentagon. Each shape comes in five colors: red, orange, yellow, green, and blue. At the top of the box is a slot where the child inserts the shapes. On one side of the slot is a color label, and on the other is a shape label, allowing for two modes of play. For example, if your focus is teaching shapes, your child would match a square shape to the slot labeled with a square. If you’re working on colors instead, the same square would go into the slot labeled with its color—say, blue.Once the basics of sorting by shape or color are in place, the product can be used in more advanced ways. It includes practice cards that present specific challenges. For example, one card might show images of four colored circles: red, orange, yellow, and blue. The child then needs to recognize that green—the fifth color in the set—is missing and correctly place it in the mystery spot. These cards help build deduction and reasoning skills in a fun, engaging way.The slots at the top of the box also encourage fine motor development and problem-solving.Overall, this is a very useful and thoughtfully designed learning tool. While my child doesn’t usually struggle with focus, I do find that I need to work a little harder to keep her engaged during activities like this. That said, she responds well to the challenge, and we’re seeing slow, steady progress. If Amazon allowed half-star ratings, I’d probably give this a 4.5 out of 5—despite keeping in mind that my child is still a bit younger than the recommended age, the clinical learning age for using the sorter itself without the cards is around 22 months. I’m pleased with the purchase regardless. It does add value.

This product has good scope, we used it with my 1 year old to help her with her basic colours and she loves the slotting element to it. We are now working on shapes which she’s finding trickier, before looking at pattern etc. A great product with lots of scope to use for a while yet.

My grandson loves it

This is a great multi purpose activity for littles, just check inside of the boxes where the knobs are screwed in. 3/5 of our boxes have a sharp piece that wasn’t sanded down properly and can easily scratch/cut little hands.
