Makes dosing MUCH easier
It’s a syringe for drawing liquid acetaminophen, what can you say, right?What I can say is that as an EMT I particularly like that you don’t have to do the calculation for the correct dose based on body weight.No need to convert pounds to kilograms, then calculate the dosage of acetaminophen in each ml of the liquid, then figure out how many ml to draw before you administer it, which the best way to give your child the correct dose vice relying purely on age. This is hard enough to do when you’re wide awake and fully caffeinated, imagine trying to do it at 2AM when your baby is screaming in agony.Nope, instead, you draw just enough medication to reach your child’s weight on the syringe, and you’re done.The one thing you want to ensure is that the liquid acetaminophen that you have is 160mg/5ml (which is pretty standard, but check anyway) and you’re good to go with this syringe.On an ambulance, or in a hospital setting, these will be a single use item, but at home you can certainly wash it out and reuse it, if you so desire.

So much better!!
So I bought this because I have infant twins & I always wondered why doctors give the amount of Tylenol using their weight, but when I looked at the syringe that comes with the medicine it says they should both get the same amount because they are the same age. They aren’t the same size, one of them is smaller & actually neither of them should get 5mL (like the other says to) so I tried this syringe & it was so easy to see that they should have been taking much less the whole time based on their weight. I’m so glad I tried this one you just pull it up to their weight line & that’s it! Not only saving product but not over dosing my babies by using estimates as if all babies are the same size! Can’t believe they arent all this way!

Precision and accuracy for our babies!
The Tylenol directions state to “dose by weight if possible”, then between 24-35 lbs. (2-3yr old) to dose 5mL. How is that dosing by my child’s individual weight? This syringe allows me to dose to my child’s EXACT weight of 26 lb. Look at the difference of the medication I was giving my child! Incredible, five stars for the Dose-2-weight syringe!!

This is great to have, does just what it should, and is a far better option than my old method of writing the calculated measurement on the bottle with a sharpie so I didn’t forget. But, I take issue with the $8 price tag for a single syringe; it feels a little high.
