EXCELLENT – Alphabet Flash Cards for preschoolers and kindergartners bring skills such as memory, listening, and beginning sounds. Children will get to know phonics and learn to connect letter sounds with objects: K is for Kite, for example. These ABC flash cards will also teach them that each letter is a symbol that can be memorized. This set is intended for children ages 3 and up. Alphabet Flash Cards help teach ABCs and letter-picture association to build essential pre-reading skills as part of the preschool curriculum. A Parent Card offers game instructions, extending the preschool fun and lessons, and hours of practice get kids ready to read and learn. Relatable illustrations make Alphabet Flash Cards both fun and practical. Build alphabet skills one letter and picture at a time. Drop these flash cards in a backpack or purse, and pull them out anywhere, anytime for fun or practice.
FLASHCARDS – Kids and parents who use our flashcards for practice testing are using one of the most effective learning techniques available. A hundred years of research shows practice testing is highly likely to boost retention. Learning skills through gameplay is an excellent strategy for many reasons. They are fun and motivating, and games also tend to help students deepen their understanding and reasoning. Because games feel more like play than work, they can encourage kids to explore and experiment with concepts more freely and can reduce the stress of viewing schoolwork as nothing more than problems.
PREPARATION – Let us help you prepare your young children for the next grade level with our workbooks, flashcards, card games, early reading books, and online learning program – Anywhere Teacher. Keep kids “classroom ready” with these great supplemental learning tools and more!
AWARD WINNING – School Zone content has won The Parents’ Choice Foundation Award, Tillywig Toy Awards, Brainchild Award, Family Choice Award, Mom’s Choice Awards Honoring Excellence, Gold Star Toy Scholastic Parent and Child Award and many more.
OUR STORY – More than 40 years ago, long-time educators James Hoffman, Ed.D., and his wife Joan Hoffman, M.A., began a retail supply outlet for teachers, then soon identified a need for at-home learning materials to help parents support and supplement their children’s classroom instruction. School Zone Publishing fast emerged as the market leader in workbooks and flashcards for preschoolers through sixth graders.
School Zone remains family-owned, focused on excellence, responsive to customers, alert to emerging technology, and committed to the community. We continually update our products with new features and content, reflective of changing standards, evolving teaching methods, and overall best practices.
From the Publisher

Time-Tested Tools
Our learning materials have helped educate three generations of kids, creating life-long learners, and the legacy continues. Digital content, flash cards, workbooks, readers, toys and games—all are crafted through a child’s eyes, while integrating parent and teacher standards.

Writing by Hand Improves Memory
Writing in workbook pages, as opposed to typing on a computer, can help kids focus and learn. Writing by hand fires up specific areas of a child’s brain, improving the ability to both remember what he or she learns and to think of new ideas.

Longer Retention
Kids and parents who use our flash cards for practice testing are using one of the most effective learning techniques available. A hundred years of research shows practice testing is highly likely to boost retention.

Reading Has Lifelong Benefits
A love of reading has been proven to have far-reaching benefits for children, emotionally and academically. And children who enjoy reading become confident readers and read more often.

Kids Love Technology
School Zone’s digital content supports children’s learning goals by enhancing problem-solving and critical thinking, as well as reinforcing skills through multisensory activities. It also improves language skills, increases motivation to stay on task, and stimulates curiosity and imagination.

Not Just for Fun
When kids play games together, they learn a healthy sense of competition and experience the joy of winning and empathy for losing. Along the way, they learn collaboration, cooperation, and problem-solving. Creative play stimulates imagination and nurtures emotional well-being.

Simple, effective, and straight to the point!
**5.0 out of 5 stars – Simple, effective, and straight to the point!**If you’re looking for a no-fuss way to teach the alphabet, these cards are perfect. I’ve tried more “fancy” sets before, but they often have too much going on. These are refreshingly simple—the letters are large, bold, and very easy for a toddler or preschooler to see and read from a distance. The design is clean and colorful without being distracting. Each card features a clear uppercase and lowercase letter on one side and a fun, recognizable illustration on the other to help with phonics. The cards themselves are a great size for small hands to hold, and the cardstock feels durable enough to survive a bit of “enthusiastic” handling from a three-year-old.There are no complicated instructions or tiny text to squint at; it’s just a straightforward, high-quality learning tool that does exactly what it’s supposed to do. For the price, it’s an absolute essential for any early learner’s toy box. Sometimes the classic methods are the best, and this set proves it!

Great flashcards to teach with fun animations!!!
My daughter loved it .. Even though she is under one we are getting her too recognize alphabets and to say the letters and the coordinating fruit or animal that matches it! Like the letter A is on one side and then the apple a picture of a apple is on the other. When we show her and consistently do three letters at a time she cracks up laughing sometimes because I do it very animated to keep her engaged! I also love the price point of these because they were under four bucks You can’t beat that! Great value great buy! It’s great to keep the kids that have the game so when they start Pre-K they’ll already be advanced!

Durable. Colorful. Useful.
These cards are good quality and offer both capital and lower case letters. The cards are durable and bright colorful pictures. Overall, they have helped my daughter with letter recognition! My only complaint is that a few of the letters picture things that confuse my 3 year old. For example, they have J for jet but my daughter often says airplane. Or, V for Valentine but she says envelope.

I like how these cards have just the capital or just the lower case. I am teaching my 3 year old her letters and it can be confusing when there is upper and lower. For right now I am only using the upper case cards to teach her and she loves it. It also comes with a parent card to suggest some games which I think is cute.
