This is a 2 pack of a very simple type of knit cotton blanket with blanket stitch type edging and uninspiring bunny and rainbow print. Unlike many other swaddles that are often 30″ x 40″, this is a square blanket that is 33.5 x 33.5″.The good news is that knit cotton of this type or knit bamboo rayon are great materials for a swaddle. A material that is flexible, breathable, absorbent, and stretchy fits the bill. Young babies benefit a lot from being wrapped up in a stretchy swaddle. It seems to remind them of the comforting, restrictive, stretchy environment of Mom’s womb.Swaddle blankets also have myriad other uses other than swaddling the newborn. They can be simple receiving or feeding blankets, car seat covers, stroller blankets, or a light weight floor covering for tummy time. This absorbent thin blanket could also dry the baby at bath time, or serve well as a burp cloth.This is a fair value since you get 2 blankets. But I would prefer a solid color rather than the slightly odd print. Besides an animal (bunny?) and rainbow, there is the word “sweet.” This blanket is useful and practical more so than aesthetic. But only time well tell if the simple blanket binding at the edge can keep this from fraying. There is no binding around the edge and I believe this could fairly easily fray.
