Much better than the visible IKEA anchors — cleaner look + feels more secure
I bought these to secure our IKEA Billy bookshelves in my kids’ play area, and I’m really glad I did.The anchors that come with the Billy shelves attach at the top and are visible, which would’ve drove me crazy to look at. They also didn’t feel as secure as I would have liked, especially with tall, narrow bookshelves in a space where kids are playing.These were a much better option. Once the cabinets are in place, they aren’t visible at all, which gives a much cleaner, more seamless look compared to the original anchors.I was able to install them myself at 32 weeks pregnant without any issues, so I’d say they’re very user-friendly.One thing to note: the Billy shelves are tall and relatively narrow, so they can still have a little movement if the cable isn’t pulled tight enough. I initially left a bit of slack, and the shelves would shift slightly.If you’re using these on similar furniture, I’d recommend:• positioning the anchors carefully• pulling the cable as taut as possibleOnce adjusted properly, they feel much more secure and stable.Overall, a great upgrade from the standard anchors — especially if you care about both safety and visibility.

Easily Installed, Strong Device Can be Quickly Detached
This is a well-made product. My application is a tall and narrow glass curio cabinet that could easily be tipped a lateral force were to be applied. The cable is easily attached and disconnected from the brackets supplied to secure it to the wall and to the piece of furniture. This is done simply by pulling the spring key and then removing the pins that attache the cable end loops to the brackets. Once one has the furniture repositioned, reattaching to the flexible cables is just as easily accomplished. In both cases, the brackets used to secure the top or back of the furniture piece and to the wall have two mounting screws which appear to be adequate to the task. It is important that the wall bracket be screwed to a stud, so locating it with a stud finder or by some other method is essential. A hollow wall (drywall) anchor would not be sufficient to secure the device to the wall given the torque that might be created if the furniture piece would become unstable. Likewise, it’s important to anchor the other bracket to the furniture one is attempting to stabilize by attaching it to a strong component, not the flimsy plywood backing that is used on some furnishings. “Common sense” should always be observed, though it’s been my observation that ‘good sense it’s so very “common” after all.’ Just exercise abundant caution when considering the locations with which to attach both ends of this device.

Pretty sure if you install a pair of these properly, it could hold a car in place.. they are seriously sturdy!!!The piece we have a pair of these installed on is extremely heavy.. installed two clips and the piece is not moving at all..Pros:+ extremely sturdy+ good hardware (screw heads don’t break, etc)+ directions are pretty self explanatory, nice they give you different options+ pretty easy to install (find stud, screw one end in place, install other end under furniture top and clip wire into place, done)+ the clips can be undone to move the furnitureCons- sold individually, will add up if you are doing multiple pieces- does a little damage to the back of the piece (wasn’t a real negative as it’s the back and it is pretty minimal)If you want the best, get these.. worth the investment

Great to child-proof your home.
With a baby on the way we decided it was time to start baby-proofing the house, because sooner or later there’s a lot of furniture that can pose a tip hazard to youngsters.There are various products on the market from the cheap plastic brackets that often come with flat pack furniture, to various other systems. But I had this vision of something that was easy to install, tough, stylish, and easy to remove if needed. And as luck would have it, this product existed that frankly was just what I was looking for.Locate a stud and screw on piece to the stud. Screw another piece to the furniture and attach the two with a small steel cable. The attachment mechanism is a thick metal pin and safety clip. Really so easy to install.Personally, I have a specific screw I like to use around the house that goes in and holds well (Spax). So used that going into the stud (you are probably going to want a stud finder to do this right). The supplied screws attached well to the furniture.When ordering, check the prices because they often have better pricing for buying more than one, but not always in a logical way. So a four pack is sometimes better value (lower cost per unit) than say a six pack. So check the math before selecting which has the best deal going.

Toddlers will climb anything if something tempting is out of reach, I can’t believe I waited so long to get these.
After hearing my 2 year old tried climbing the dresser, I had to find some to secure the dresser to the wall. Based on reviews I selected this product from the many similar products out there. After finding the stud and deciding where in the dresser to anchor this to, it’s very simple to install. Just 4 screws and insert pins, you’re done. Cable is long enough you can slide furniture out and get to the pin easily. I am ordering a second one as I feel this dresser is every bit of 300 lbs and its literally just 2 small screws into the back of the dresser. It says it’s tested upto 400lbs but this might be the situation where more is better. I feel two will definitely do the trick, but I am overly cautious on things like this so it might not be necessary. All of the pieces seem to be made well and likely able to perform as claimed, but something about two small screws in a strip of wood doesn’t sit well with me.

Great anchors (I have re-purchased 5 times now), very easy to install (if you can find a stud).Please, please purchase this or another similar product. Life can change in an unexpected second, better safe than sorry. I have purchased this for our living room and both of our children’s bedrooms. It is peace of mind and they are pretty strong. I have forgotten they are there and tried to move the dresser, did not get anywhere with these installed.

Great product, looks good and easy to install. My only tiny gripe would be that it would be nice if they had included wall plugs for masonry walls as I had to go hunting at Wickes. NBD, though. Better than IKEA brackets. My top tip is not to install the securing plates directly opposite each other, as they will clash when you put your furniture back against the wall. D’oh!

Holding up 72” high x 50” wide etagere style book shelfs. I have one anchor and appears sturdy enough to hold it up in the event it may tip. Hardware appears very sturdy and installation was easy. Better than the plastic sets. Will order more in the future as needed.
