Versatile outlet cover to prevent your crawling baby from tugging on cords/outlets
Got this because my newly crawling baby was able to reach the cords in his room and i had no where else to plug in his lamp. This helped route the cords upward and prevented him from pulling on them. I like that the box enables the cords to go up or down depending how you install it. Works well for what i need right now

Works great for what I need. Just to cover a few problem outlets for when my little grandson visits. For the price it’s hard to beat the set and they work fine. I think these work best on Decora outlets, not the standard style one.The reason being, is that there are two screws used on the Decora. One on top and one on bottom of the plate. This makes the cover fit much more securely. If you have the old style outlets it’s not as sturdy. As it only has one screw in the center.It’s a very tight fit as I had to snap it over two power strip cords plugged in. These are very thick gauge cords, so it was hard to snap the cover shut. That’s not a problem with the product though. It’s just that the cords are very thick gauge. Bang for the buck this works good.

Too small for many AC adapters
I like the design of these and expect that they will thwart my toddler effectively. However, a major problem that limits their utility is that they ARE TOO SMALL. These child-proof covers aren’t even as wide and as tall as a typical Decora outlet cover. This severely restricts the size of AC adapters that this can be used with. If the AC adapter has any significant overlap with a normal Decora outlet cover, it probably won’t fit in the enclosure. If the AC adapter overlaps with a normal Decora outlet cover *at all*, the AC adapter also won’t be able to sit flush against the receptacle because the mounting bracket.If you do have a power brick that fits, it almost certainly will need to be positioned in a way that prevents using the second outlet receptacle. Since the cover lacks ventilation holes, I also have some concern about it trapping heat.I think that a better design would have been to make it at least as big as a normal Decora outlet cover itself so that it could replace the cover instead of being mounted over it. I’ll grant that making the child-proof cover bigger probably would make it significantly harder for adults to remove, though.

This outlet cover has a less bulky footprint, but is not as sturdy as the other one I bought and reviewed before this one. Both work just fine to keep my baby from unplugging my cords. Though this one is thinner plastic I like this one better for my needs for functional reasons. It can be installed on a horizontal baseboard outlet with the exit for the cord in either direction for whichever way you want the cord to exit. It’s more convenient to open it squeezing with one hand at the tabs on the sides than the other brand that has the knob to turn. I would buy the other one again if required to accommodate bigger unusual plug ins, and this one for everything else. If your kid is the especially determined type, or you have a huge adapter spend more on the other one. Otherwise I would recommend this one, it doesn’t take up as much space, it’s easier to use, and costs much less.

Economical option to protect your kids from outlets and plugs
We bought this outlet plug cover to stop my toddler from being able to unplug our lamp and try to plug it back in.PROS:- This outlet plug cover accommodates both standard (screw in the middle) and decora-style (screws on the top and bottom of the outlet) outlets. We have a mix of different outlets in our home and this one design can fit any given outlet in our home.- It effectively childproofed the outlets of concern in our home.- Easy to install. Took maybe five minutes to install one of them. The installation is straightforward and uncomplicated.- Neutral aesthetic. I was worried that they would be an eyesore, which is obviously irrelevant when considering my baby’s safety, but you don’t really notice them once they are there.CONS:- Limited color options. I have only seen these outlet covers in white, so if your outlets are painted, or a different color other than bright white, you may need to paint these to match.- They do stick out quite a bit from the wall so it might interfere with furniture or other things that need to be close to the wall in your home.- The plastic is not hard. It has some bend to it. Because it flexes and isn’t super thick, I am curious to see how the long-term durability pans out. Luckily toddlers aren’t very strong, but I feel like my older kids could break it off if they really wanted to. This is the only reason I gave it four stars instead of 5.Overall, it is and economical way to effectively prevent children from playing with plugs in outlets.

Little bit off the measurement for the Australian outlet but I manage to cover it. Although you can’t use the on and off switches if you just want to just cover the outlet, it does the job 👍🏻. Good quality. I wish they made one for Aussie size too.

They fit my outlets perfectly, the included screws that were longer were perfect to replace the usual ones. Took all of 5 minutes to install and I think they will work well to stop our baby from playing with the plug in since we can’t cover it. Make sure your cord goes straight down as I had to change power bars so it would fit. Not a big deal!It would be great if there was an attached flexible tube that held the cord safely but I can’t seem to find anything with that so this will do!
