Works well for non slip tub, even with two kids
I’ve had this for just over two years now – starting with the first kid at about 16 months and the second one started at around 6-8 months (when he could sit up). With the little guys, you still have to watch every second – but overall it’s worked really well for both to sit and play together in the tub even now with an 2 and 3 yr olds. Even though it only covers about 2/3 of the tub, it works fine because the sit on it and can have their legs on the “slippery side”. And, yes, the will slip in from time to time while they learn where it is safe to stand and move around. Watch them like a Hawk at first but soon, they will get the hang of it.Someone mentioned that it gets mildew. While that is especially true in humid climates, it’s going to happen any time you have warm, dark and water… Aka… leave it in the tub in order to get the kids in bed. (Guilty!) It will develop mildew easily if you don’t put it away after use and actually let it dry out. That’s just how mildew works and it definitely has happened to mine. I clean it with a Clorox wipe from time to time, but it still has developed black discoloration around the suction cups (it is not visible in use, because the stains are on the bottom). Although it still works great and looks good on the top, I may get another one (2+ years later) because the stains gross me out.It is best to press this onto the tub before you add water. Every once in a while I forget and it’s tougher to have it stick well and can slip when the kids first get in (but, their weigh will eventually secure it in place).Overall, I’m glad I bought this.

Great mat
My daughter is going to be four soon and we still use this baby bath mat. She likes it better than just being in the tub without anything under her. We have tried different mats, but none have been as great as this one. I would definitely recommend it!

Super cute
Works on all flat tubs. Ours has extra billing non skid strips so it won’t stay suctioned down, but it is flat and helps keep baby from slipping. Super cute design. Does not fit a full tub. Love that it is extra cushy

Not for us
Despite several weeks (and now months) of weight placed on the mat, it never released its curl. Perhaps heat would help with that. It also never was able to suction to the bottom of our tub. There is a little texture on ours so maybe that’s the issue. Doesn’t help that the mat floats so there was no possibility of it staying down even the weight of the bath water. Overall we were never able to use it so it was quite literally useless to us.

Cute design and nice option to hang from shower head to prevent mold. Only thing is it doesn’t stick too well to the tub and rolls up at the tail.

Wonderful bath mat for kids
I had purchased this whale bath mat previously but returned because it didn’t quite fit in the little tub we have for our daughter. I bought it again and I love it. It doesn’t quite fit but it’s ok if it gets a tiny fold. It sticks well, cleans well and I love that the tail can connect to the body so you can hang it to dry, so helpful!

Super stiff, shipped rolled – difficult to flatten
UPDATE:Changing my rating from 4/5 to 3/5. We have been using this for a few weeks now. It still won’t lie flat, and I don’t think it will ever actually suction to the floor of our tub. Annoying and disappointing. Should’ve just bought a regular, old cheapy instead of trying to make it cute. I cannot recommend this product.Grrr, even though I expected this to be shipped rolled up, I’m still annoyed. It is super stiff, making it difficult to flatten out. Hoping I can warm it up with a hairdryer or hot water to make it more pliable, but it’s extra work which shouldn’t be required of a brand new product. If you order this, be ready to put some effort into flattening it out enough to actually use it.UPDATE:Does not lie flat even after soaking in hot water. The curls are persistent. I hope it flattens out over time because it’s almost useless as is. The suction cups don’t suction to our tub either which is really annoying.

Super cute bath mat
This mat is super cute and the perfect size for our tub. It doesn’t slip, or smell (we hang it to dry after every use) and haven’t had any problem with mold or mildew. It makes it safe for our toddler to stand and move about the tub with out the worry of her falling. I like that it doesn’t fully cover the tub, and is easy to clean. It was super affordable and worth every penny!

Although the mat doesn’t stick to our bathtub at all, it still does its job quite well – my baby is not slipping anymore. I love the design of the mat, the whale looks cute and it’s super convenient to hang it and let it dry! First I thought it would be too small but so far it’s enough for my 9 month old.

Comprei ele mesmo sendo bem mais caro que os outros pq achei que pelas medidas que estavam aqui no site seria um tapete maior, mas engano meu, é pequeno como os outros (Talvez a medida seja da baleia toda, mas o rabo dela é dobrado entao na realidade no espaço que for colocado fica menor do que a medida), no mais tem boa qualidade e cumpre bem a função.
