These bars are absolutely delicious! Very fulfilling! Very healthy and nutritional- a great snack that tastes good and has protein and fat combo, so it fulfills your need. Trash… look elswhere.. every bar ive taste tested has these large green seeds in them… whether its for protein or fatty acids or if its to give the bar some kind of crunch as the bar is mush otherwise idk .. but whatever the intended reason it absolute shear and utter laziness that the seeds arent ground up and put then put in the bar … bottomline there bars just arent done well.. period… idk where they got the names for there flavors but there not even close… still searching for a decent bar, cuz this AINT it !!!!

took them to Italy in my purse. It was fall in europe. They didn’t melt exactly but the coatings became gooey like molasses. what a mess. They got all over my hands and I couldn’t break and share with others.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:From my wife:Fantastic ingredients, designed for super nutrition. They taste good too. It’s a kind of a mild flavor and a sort of sticky chewy texture, which I enjoy. This is a perfect bar to put in your purse for when you’re out of the houseand very filling. I love that it’s low-carb, gluten-free and dairy free. I would definitely recommend this bar.

Flavor and Texture Okay, but Weird Oily Coating
When I saw red velvet, I really wanted to try this bar. I had such high hopes that I would like it. However, I’m not a fan. The nutrition information and ingredients are all pretty good. I feel like the calories are a little high, but it’s not far off from other bars. Some of the bone broth did scare me, but you can’t taste it so that’s good. For someone really going hardcore on a paleo diet, I think these are a nice grab and go option. For the protein level, it’s pretty good.Overall, for the FLAVOR, I would rate this decently. It’s not quite red velvet cake, but it’s got the core. The texture is pretty dense and gooey, and was pretty decent as well. I would hope for something a little lighter for a cake flavor, but for a protein bar it’s okay.My big issue is that there is visible, feelable grease on the outside of each bar. It’s like a coating you’d find on a beef stick that got heated up inside the package and would start leaking. I did wipe my hands off and put the bar onto a paper towel to soak it all up and wipe it off, but I just couldn’t get that greasy feeling out of my mouth. I do not know what caused it, but it did turn me off the bars despite being okay with the taste and texture.

Unique Superfood Protein Bar
I am familiar with the Paleovalley company, so was interested in trying these red velvet superfood protein bars. Each bar is individually wrapped, with all of the nutritional information per serving printed on each wrapper- 9g of fat, 190 calories, 13g of fiber and 10g of protein. I love that these bars are non-gmo, have no added sugars, are gluten free and are made with grass fed bone broth protein. They are easy to pack, and serve as a healthy, on the go snack, that makes me feel satiated after eating.The outside of the bar has a very slimy consistency. I once left half of an eaten bar in its wrapper in my pocket and the residue got all over my clothing. Lesson learned. Although the bar is the color of red velvet, it doesn’t necessarily taste like the flavor I was expecting. The taste overall is pretty good- not too sweet and very moist. The bar is dense and feels like a lot of healthy ingredients have been compacted into each bar. The consistency is mostly smooth, except there are some bites where you will taste a seed or two. It adds to the texture and makes the flavor of the bar pop! Overall, a great healthy snack to enjoy, but a little too oily and expensive to incorporate into my life.
