Fun and Educational STEM Activity for Young Kids
We purchased the STEM Explorer’s Pixel Art set for our 5-year-old, and it has been a great hands-on learning activity. The kit includes picture references that kids can follow to complete the image using a coordinate-like system, which helps build early math, spatial awareness, and focus. Our child enjoyed matching the colors and paying attention to placement, and it kept him engaged without feeling overwhelming. It’s a fun way to introduce problem-solving and attention to detail in a very kid-friendly format.Overall, it’s an excellent educational activity that combines creativity with learning, and we would definitely recommend it for young children interested in building and visual challenges.

Fantastic Puzzle Activity for Young Kids!
The Learning Resources STEM Explorers Pixel Art Challenge is an absolute hit in our house! Although it’s recommended for ages 5+, we got it for our 4-year-old daughter who loves puzzles, and she absolutely loves this activity. It’s easy enough for her to do on her own and keeps her engaged for a long time. The set is super easy to assemble, and the quality is great. I also love that it comes with multiple picture options, so there’s plenty of variety to keep her entertained. The brightly colored foam blocks make it easy to see and create vibrant, fun designs.Another huge plus is that the blocks are foam, not magnetic, so we don’t have to worry about magnets being around our younger child. This is such a thoughtful and safe design feature.Highly recommend this for any little one who enjoys puzzles, challenges, and learning through play. Great value for your money and an overall wonderful product!

Cute and fun but foam cubes like to wander easily
I love learning resources. Their toys are great and give my kids something more to play with that is fun but also educational. I got this for my Minecraft obsessed 4 year old and he seems to like it. My biggest complaint is the cubes are just foam and are super lightweight so if you aren’t careful they can move around. The board does have a grid so they do nestle in there but it’s still not perfect. I wish they were plastic. You are also only given a limited number of cubes per color based on the designs they show you in the guide book. So if you want to do your own thing you are limited to only the colors they give. If that makes any sense.

This is awesome!
My kids LOVE these! I have three kids ages 5-9 and they all love playing with these! They made a fun, educational and affordable gift thank each kid enjoyed in their own way. My oldest is a rule follower so she’s follow the prompt to the “T” where my five year old is super independent and creative and loves making things that she saw in her mind. Assembly is practically non existent which we LOVE in our busy household and it’s awesome that we found something that they all love despite the age gaps.

Fun for olders, but not worth the price.
Good idea, poor QC. The board is well made and the ideas in the booklet are fun. It starts off with showing how the pictures are made and the number of blocks needed to make the picture and progresses in complexity of design to instructions that would make a middle schooler think. The problem comes from the foam blocks they included. While some of them fit into the slots, a lot were either too large or too small. The foam is only 9mm high when the slots are supposed to be 10mm. Also, some of the cuts in the foam weren’t complete or were too large at 10.5mm. The foam itself is also too lightweight for ease of use and pop out of the slots way too easily.Since I have a 3D printer, I printed out all the cubes in the appropriate colors. This allowed my son to still have fine dexterity but was more forgiving in placement since I made the blocks 9.9mm cubed and they weighed more than the foam ones.I only recommend this product to kids older than 7-8 since the foam is too lightweight or if you have a 3D printer to make your own blocks. I’d also only buy this product if it was $20 or less. The quality isn’t worth a higher premium.

Product only comes with 1 board, not 3 as the misleading image on the box implies
