Great product.
I’ve used these containers many times. I’ve stored spaghetti sauce, blueberries, and lots of leftovers. They do not stain and do not pit.I’m very happy with this product. The price was good and it was delivered quickly. They do not leak, seal tightly, are easy to open, sturdy and easy to close. They seal tightly and I haven’t had a problem with them leaking. I like being able to stack them in the fridge and cabinet. Very well designed. The size options are well thought out. I have used the smallest ones, which I originally thought would never be used. The material is impressive.K

Very good storage containers.
Love these, we have been using them for years. The plastic doesn’t stain like some other containers and provides clear viewing. They stack well, and are microwave and dishwasher safe. I cherish mine so try not to over heat in microwave (since our oldest ones eventually showed visible stress cracks – but no leaks). They keep food fresh and the seals have held tight without stretching.

Great food storage
These storage bins are great. I bought them to fill in a set I already own. They are sturdy and last a long time. Eventually, the bottoms develop cracks. When that happens, I store foods that aren’t wet, like cookies. I’m not sure the cracks will leak liquid, but I don’t take chances. The variety of sizes included in the set is great, very useful. I’d definitely recommend.

My FAVORITE storage containers EVER… keep under lock and key!!
These containers are amazing – and that’s coming from a former professional Chef. I just ordered and received a second set, because my adult kids keep taking them home with leftovers, and conveniently forget to return them for months on end!! 😂🤷♀️ The picture is of what I currently have in my possession of the large assortment OLD set I purchased in 2021, other than a few in my dishwasher at the moment! 🙄😂 They are truly superb in every way:1) Thick ande durable2) Airtight and leak proof3) The containers snap together on top of the lids for organized storage4) They’re completely dishwasher safe, even with high heat drying cycle on the bottom rack- no warping of lids or containers whatsoever5) They’re great for freezing foods, with no freezer burn6) They’re completely microwave safe- again, no warping of containers or lids6) After CONSTANT and DAILY use for over a year and a half, not ONE container has a single stain – even from frequent use for tomato based sauces and Italian foods!I honestly can’t find one negative thing to say about these containers. It’s a terrific investment to buy an assortment of multiple different sizes if you cook for a family- you’ll definitely get your money’s worth out of these! I’ll be purchasing more for Christmas gifts for my kids, just so they’ll stop stealing mine !! 😂🤷♀️

Great containers with too-short lives
As an owner of several sets of these, and other sizes of the Rubbermaid Premier food storage containers, and with a long history of use dating back over many years, I can give them uniformly high marks for all points but durability. With a wide array of possible uses, your experience may vary, but mine includes heating food in the microwave frequently, which ultimately spells doom for them, even though they are rated as safe for microwave re-heating. They are wonderful for storage across the range of usual places, including freezer and refrigerator, but after multiple exposures to microwave heating, small cracks will form, and ultimately enlarge to become threats to containment of any liquids. The current version of lids, which duplicate the original version, seal well, preserving foods from excess oxygen and reducing spoilage. There was an intermediate version of lids that would pop off while re-heating food, but it appears they were widely disliked, and my recent purchases have all been with the original lid style to my considerable satisfaction. The clear plastic design makes these easy to use for visually identifiable storage, but be careful in cleaning because these containers with scuff and scratch, becoming less clear with age. Contrary to claims, they will also accept color from a limited number of foods, principally red ones, so some staining is possible. Their reasonable footprint and storage capacity, stack-ability, and limited shelf space when unused are all assets that make these great containers. It is only sad that I know I will have to replace them again once the cracks take over.

The Rubbermaid Premier line of food storage containers is possibly the best reusable food storage products you can buy today. This isn’t hyperbole – I’ll get to why in a few sentences. But first, a gripe: Why are they a) so difficult to find in sets, and b) why does the price fluctuate so much?! It’s like their availability is purposely limited. The 28pc sets should be around $30-$40 in Canada (historical pricing, and compared to US prices) but you’re lucky of you find a 28pc set for under $50; I waited until it was around that price to buy, and the day after, the price jumped $40 higher! As for the claim, “the best reusable food storage products you can buy today”. I stand by that based on experience with the product line. Some 18 years ago now, I bought my first set of these at a popular drug store chain in Western Canada (LD); they were expensive (compared to other products of this nature), but I liked the advertisement on the box saying the plastic wouldn’t cloud up, which is a common issue with a lot of plastic storage containers after they get used a bit and washed.Sure enough, that claim is true. This purchase I just made of a new 28pc set? It’s to finally start replacing the original 28pc set I bought 18 years ago! That old set is finally starting to show wear and tear, cracks, etc. I still have about 8 containers from that original set (plus all the lids still, so 22pc still), and to this day they are still a) clear with no cloudiness in the plastic, b) still good from freezer to pouring hot soup in, and c) still fit all their lids. I’ve probably dishwashed each of these containers 2,250 times in the past 18 years.Sure, some have cracked and broken over the years, and we’ve thrown them out. But not bad performance for a set I bought 17 years ago for around $22. They definitely have served our family well. The original set had red lids and a swirly pattern on the plastic; the current sets are clear plastic with redesigned black lids. The good news is, the lids fit both the old set and the current one I just bought.I’ve never had this kind of performance from any other container. Over the years, we’ve had things in these containers that would stain other brands; stink up other brands; discolour and deform other brands. Not the Premier line from Rubbermaid. Not to gross you out, but they’ve gotten lost in the back of the fridge and grown an inch of mold on top from some 6 month old forgotten sauce, but the lids are tight enough that we couldn’t smell them, and after putting on hazmat suits, dumping out the attempt to grow penicillin, giving them a scrub and a trip to the dishwasher, they were “as good as new” once again. Other containers? We’d just toss them out.Regarding this current set, I am making the assumption that they are made out of the same materials as my 18 year old set is; Rubbermaid calls the plastic “Tritan”, which I cannot recall on the original purchased items way back when. I do hope it is the same material (looks and feels like it!) because I fully expect this new set to give me 15-20 years of performance too; I also bought the 28pc set so I have a bit of “overkill”, as I use them with my remaining 8 containers from the original set, and its 14 lids; as those old items eventually fail, I’ll have all these new ones to replace them with.Which brings me back to availability. Why are these so scarce? Why when you visit the websites of big name US stores are they not even listed in stock? Why does the price fluctuate by as much as 100% depending on the time you do find it on Amazon or elsewhere? Our purchase came in what looks like a commercial order box – brown with black graphics on it, not the flashy, “ready for retail shelfspace” colourful boxes it used to come in. Rubbermaid still lists these on their corp site. So it doesn’t look like they’re discontinued.Anyway, if you do find a set of these, and the 20pc is under $40, or the 28pc is $50 or less, jump all over them. They will last you decades. Highly recommended.
