Amazing, lovely rose scent
I got the rose sandalwood scent. From the moment I unboxed the candle, I could smell the rose scent, and it’s heavenly. It’s so gentle and velvety, like the softest rose petals. The wood note is so subtle that I can’t really detect it; it’s only there to softens the rose so the rose isn’t soapy harsh punch-in-your-face. But that’s fine by me. When I burn the candle, the rose scent remains a gentle calming waft that fills the room. I’m placing the candle in the middle of our largest open room, and the scent has no problem filling up the entire room without being headache-inducing. I keep finding myself perking up to breathe in deeply that subtle rose scent.This is now my favorite brand and my favorite candle. If I have any complaint at all (and I don’t, not really), it is that I can’t find the candle scent written anywhere on the candle jar or box. But that’s such an unimportant miniscule aspect compared to everything right about this candle. Oh, and did I mention that this company contributes part of their profit to charity?

Wonderful aroma, but missing Sandalwood notes
This candle is elegant and smells exact like fresh roses. My partner was incredibly excited to get this as a gift, and we burn it often. The scent throw is wide (it fills our 750 sqft apartment), and it lasts for a day after the candle has been extinguished. My only complaint is that the scent was advertised as “Rose Sandalwood,” and there is no notable sandalwood scent. We love the candle regardless, but think that either the label or the scent should be edited.

Safe fragrance for cats
This is a beautiful candle, very fragrant, and safe for my cats. I use it with a warming lamp so there’s no flame and the fragrance isn’t toxic for pets.

Doesn’t last long and explodes
When I first received this candle, it smelled great, like any candle does when receiving it in the mail. I lit it around 5PM in the evening, and around 10PM, I went to blow it out, and I could see the bottom of the candle holder through 1/4″ of melted wax. I’m not sure if it was make this way or if it might have something to do with the copper candle holder, which in an excellent conductor of electricity and retaining heat, but the entire candle burned up in 5 hours. Normally with a candle this size, I can keep it lit for 5 hours in the evening and it will last more than a week. I couldn’t imagine going through one of these a day, after a month, it would be 30x more expensive than my Netflix subscription!I’m updating my review after trying another candle, one without a copper candle holder. I must admit, the candles smell great after they’re first lit, but after the first one burned completely within a couple of hours and after this one shattering into multiple pieces, I wish I could leave a score of less than one star. Beware when buying these as this could have easily burned down my house if it were placed over a rug or close to something flammable. I’d never seen anything like this happen before, but hopefully never again

Not all scents are created equal!
SOME of these are really great. The rose and sandalwood, and bergamot and jasmine were the scents I tried first and absolutely loved. They weren’t aggressive, but filled the room with fragrance. Newer fragrances I just bought, santal and the charcoal, for instance, only smell nice when you’ve got your nose up in them. The scent is so subtle, you hardly know it’s there even after hours of leaving them burning. It’s disappointing. Considering how well some of the other scents carried, (and trusting there wasn’t some change in the formula that has caused quality to suffer) I’ll continue to use them. But be wary, not all of the products here are created equal.

This is absolutely gorgeous. The packaging is beautiful, Ideal for a gift. The scent is amazing, much much better than Yankee candles, or any of the others ive ever had. I have this candle in a large room, an open plan sitting room on one side and dining room on the other and just 1 candle has scented the whole room within a short period of time. I wish i had bought this brand as xmas presents instead of yankee candles! Will definitely buy again. Great quality. The only thing it needs is a lid, to keep the candle fresh when its not in use.
